Over the last year and a half or so, my life has felt like the execution of one gigantic resolution, so I haven’t felt much of a need to make smaller ones along the way. In September of 2011 I quit my job to pursue freelance writing full time, and 2012 has been my first… Read more »

I just discovered that this humble website has been nominated for a 2012 Canadian Weblog Award in the Arts & Culture and Writing & Literature categories! Thank you so much to Ninjamatics and all my readers. Thank you for reading my pieces, visiting the Zed List for Toronto heavy metal concert listings, and generally being… Read more »
As I am sure you have noticed, NatalieZed.ca has undergone a complete, glorious redesign. We had added a lot of new functionality, especially to the Zedlist. Take a look around, and let me know what you think!
I really have no words to express how overjoyed I feel in the wake of The Wrecking Ball. The event was a grater success that I had ever hoped for. Thank you to the poets: Dani Couture, Chris Doda, Damian Rogers, and angela rawlings, who performed their poetry brilliantly and got a room full of… Read more »

Just went through a major update; this blog once again functions as an accurate portfolio of all the music writing that I have done over the past 10 months or so. It was the kind of red-hot magma flow anger that could not be assuaged by all the counting to ten, deep… Read more »
Holy crap, does it ever look spiffy around here. Thanks again to Adam Wills for doing such an incredible job with my blog redesign! This is the new home of The Zed Blog. Welcome!
and good will toward
Damn it. My first real, non-archiving, blog-ish post here and it’s going to be about my feelings. It’s been an excellent week in Poetry for Natalie Zed. Wednesday night, I read at the 7th installment of the NOW HEAR THIS! Hear/Hear reading series with Angela Szczepaniak and Elisabeth De Mariaffi. The back room we inhabited… Read more »
bloody but unbowed
The only thing I know to do when something ends is to start something new. I’m Natalie Zed. I write CD reviews, live reviews, and blog entries for Hellbound and Metallus Maximus. I write poetry about S&M, gastroporn, comic books, video games, and heavy metal. I’ve never been very good at keeping my mouth shut.
